“Rawah” is a Native American term meaning “wild place". The term is generally attributed to the Ute people, who inhabited the region of the Medicine Bow Mountains in North Central Colorado where the Rawah Wilderness is located.
The ancestral band of the Ute Mountain Tribe known as the Weminuche inhabited the San Juan Mountains and used the area as a summer hunting grounds. I think of it as quite fitting to describe my home of Silverton, Colorado.
Rawah Tech is where my work as a steward meets my passion as an artist. Through fine art photography and technical design, I aim to capture the raw beauty of the San Juans while promoting a culture of respect and preservation. When you wear Rawah or join us on a trip, you’re supporting a vision that values the land as much as the adventure.
Whether I’m behind the lens of a camera or guiding a trip, my goal is to share the depth of these landscapes, ensuring we protect the places we play for generations to come.
